Training Priorities for Gujarat
To address new enterprise development requirement, GITCO propose a one-year programme to impart artisanal-skill, machine –operation skill, entrepreneurial competencies and market skill to trainees. The programme is targeted at the following. The model is a clear development priority for Gujarat.
 
1. One Year Programme For Enterprise Development
GITCO has worked out the module wise objectives and courseware for this programme. The programme will consist of following modules.

• Entrepreneurship

2. One – Week Programme For Entry-Level Job Seekers
  Eligibility: 7th pass, preference to rural poor, SC/ST/OBC
It is the job need of a trainee rather than educational level or artisanal competency which will qualify him for selection.

  Modules: Orientation, Drawing, Stone Carving (Theory & Practical), Computer, English for stonecraft, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Study tour, Project work
     
3. Short-Duration Programmes For Skill Formation, Skill Development And Entrepreneurship
 
Eligibility: Work experience in Stonecraft or allied work or natural gift or readiness to set up a stonework enterprise.
Catchment Area: All of Gujarat. This is the desirable because working stonecraft artisans, possessors of natural endowment for craft and prospective entrepreneurs are spread all over Gujarat.

This module is meant for prospective entrepreneurs. Its main features are as follows.
