Organization Setup
There is a registered society for the ownership and management of Stone Artisan Park. The training part is an integral part of the society. Implicitly, therefore the Governing Board of the society will provide the critical strategic steering and oversight for the training centre. Therefore GITCO propose setting up of an advisory council for the training centre.

Advisory Council
There will be a common advisory council to manage both centers. The key functions of the advisory council will be as follows.
  • Annual Plan
  • Performance review
  • Facilitating linkage
  • Minor capex

Composition for the Council
  • Chairman: Chairman of co-operative society of either stone artisan park
  • State Government representative from Employment and Training, Rural development and Tribal development Deptt.
  • Director
  • Three representatives of Industry- Dhrangadhra, Ambaji and other
  • A representative from NID / NIFT / CEPT
  • A representative of private sector engaged in stone-craft marketing anywhere in India.
  • An eminent stone-craftsman anywhere in India
  • A representative of NABARD regional office, lead bank in Surendranagar and Banaskantha district each.
  • The Council will meet 4 to 6 times in a year
  • The Director who is responsible for both centers will report to the advisory council.
Director
The required competencies for the Director are:
  • Capacity to leadership and institution-building
  • Domain knowledge of craft section in general and some knowledge of stonecraft
  • Experience or flair for human resource development in craft sector
  • Access to a ready network of knowledge, market and business resources in the craft sector
  • Administrative and financial management competency.
Structure of Stone Artisan Park
There will be a separate campus head for each centre. The campus head will be a trainer. In addition, he will assume admin, HR, accounts and trainee relationship responsibility.
